Editorial Policy
This page explains how Peace Call researches, writes, updates and corrects its guides and free tools. It applies to every page on getpeacecall.com, our PDFs, and the posts we publish on YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky and X.
What we cover, and for whom
We write practical guides for small service businesses in the US (home services, dental and other clinics, salons, law firms) and for the small agencies that serve them: missed call text back, after-hours answering, AI phone receptionists, business texting rules, and the cost of each option. Topics come from questions owners and agencies actually ask, in search results, community forums and vendor help centers.
Sources we use
- Official vendor pages first. Features, limits and prices come from each vendor's own pricing page and help center, not from reviews or resellers.
- Primary sources for rules. Texting, privacy and safety rules come from regulators and legislatures (for example the FCC, HHS, CDC, EPA, OSHA and state statutes), or from the professional body that issues the rule (for example ABA Model Rules and opinions).
- Our own data, with the method published. Original research, such as our contractor website study, shows the sample, the method and the limits, and links the raw data.
Every factual claim is linked to its source, and each guide lists its sources with the date we checked them.
Dates and updates
- Every guide shows a Published and a Last updated date. Free tools show the date their prices or rules were checked.
- Prices and plan details change often. We re-check the prices on our cost and pricing pages at least once a month and update the page and its date when something changed.
- When a rule changes (for example a new state texting law taking effect), we update the affected guides and the date.
How we use AI tools
Our guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools. A draft is never published as-is: every fact, price, quote and link is checked against the linked source first, and recommendations are written as our judgment, not as data. We don't use AI to invent examples that look like real customers, reviews or results.
What we never publish
- Made-up statistics, testimonials, reviews, star ratings or "case studies".
- Income or results promises. Calculator and estimator defaults are labeled as placeholder assumptions, not industry statistics.
- Claims of hands-on client deployments we haven't done. Our guides are research-based, and we say so.
- Medical, legal, compliance or financial advice. Pages on HIPAA, TCPA, state texting laws or legal ethics point to the primary rule and say clearly that they're not legal advice.
Affiliate income and independence
Peace Call is an independent HighLevel (GoHighLevel) affiliate and earns a commission if you buy HighLevel through our labeled paid links. That relationship is disclosed at the top of every page that has a paid link, and the links carry rel="sponsored". No company, including HighLevel, pays for placement, writes for us or approves our pages before they're published. Comparison pages include other vendors where they fit better, list drawbacks, and use only published prices. We don't offer our own bonuses or discounts on HighLevel. Full details: affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Spot an error or an out-of-date price? Email hello@getpeacecall.com with the page and what's wrong, ideally with a source. We check every report against the source, fix confirmed errors, and update the page's Last updated date. If a correction changes a recommendation or a number a reader may have relied on, we say what changed on the page.
