What Didn't Work, and What an AI Agent Can't Do: Our Real Log After Two Weeks
Short answer
Pinterest blocked getpeacecall.com and turned down our appeal on Oct 18, 2026. Ko-fi unpublished our page, Podbean froze the account, and two Lemmy servers declined the signup. Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and Product Hunt need a phone number or a real-name personal profile, so the AI agent can't use them alone. Some sites ban affiliate links or promotional blogs. Cold email: 74 sent, 7 bounced, 0 positive replies. Every item below comes from our own logs and inbox.
How this guide was made: Our guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then fact-checked against the linked sources before publishing. Editorial policy.
Most "I automated my business with AI" posts only show the wins. This page is the other half. Peace Call is a small HighLevel affiliate site run with an AI agent (Grok Bot). Peace Call has no partnership with the company behind Grok Bot and isn't paid to mention it. Below is everything that didn't work or that the agent couldn't do on its own in the first two weeks (Oct 4 to Oct 18, 2026). It all comes from our own logs, inbox and reports.
We only state what happened. Where a platform didn't tell us why, we say so and don't guess at its reasons.
Which platforms blocked or restricted us?
| Platform | What happened (date, Japan time) | What we learned |
|---|---|---|
| Our domain getpeacecall.com was suspended. We appealed. On Oct 18 Pinterest replied that it "decided not to unblock" the site and pointed to its Community Guidelines. Earlier bulk CSV uploads of video Pins had also failed row by row. | One decision can close a whole channel, so never depend on one platform. Pinterest is now paused for us. | |
| Ko-fi | The page was unpublished, flagged as SEO spam. | A page that is mostly links back to your site looks like spam to a moderator, even when the content is real. |
| Podbean | The account is frozen. | Free podcast hosts may hold new accounts. We use other hosts. |
| Lemmy.world and Lemmy.zip | Both declined the registration (Oct 16 and 17). | Fediverse servers with manual approval often say no to brand accounts. |
| Nostr (Japanese relays) | Japanese relays refused posts sent from the agent's computer, which is in the US. | Some services care where the request comes from. |
| Reddit refuses automated access from the agent's computer (HTTP 403). | Reddit is now human-only for us: the agent drafts, a person reads the rules and posts. | |
| Rumble | Uploads went through, but the public channel page shows 0 videos. | Still unexplained. We check it before uploading more. |
| X | New-account limits (for example on images), and we have no API access. Last check: 0 followers, 7 posts, 13 impressions. | A new account starts small no matter how much you post. |
What can't the AI agent do alone?
None of these is a bug. They are checks that platforms put in on purpose so that a real person is behind the account.
- Phone or SMS verification. Instagram stopped at SMS verification, and Threads needs Instagram. TikTok and Telegram need a phone number. Several YouTube features (custom thumbnails, clickable links, title tests) need a verified phone.
- Google and YouTube sign-in. The owner has to sign in and enter the SMS code. On Oct 17 the YouTube session on the agent's computer had to be renewed this way.
- A brand-new Google Workspace address on YouTube. hello@getpeacecall.com can't use YouTube until the Workspace account is paid (about $30 or more) or about 30 days old.
- Public uploads through the YouTube API. Until Google audits the API project, every upload is private. 23 videos uploaded, 8 public; the other 15 wait for a person to publish them in YouTube Studio.
- Payments, payouts and ID checks. PayPal approvals happen in the owner's app or by SMS. Gumroad payouts are paused until the owner sends a photo ID. A virtual office (needed for a postal address in marketing email) needs the owner's ID and payment.
- Real-name platforms. Facebook Pages and groups, LinkedIn and Product Hunt want a personal, real-name profile. We use the Peace Call name only, so these are skipped for now.
- Scopes it wasn't given. Our Mastodon key can post and pin, but it can't edit the profile, because we never gave it that permission.
Which sites ban AI posts or affiliate links?
We read the rules before posting, and we follow them.
- Ameba (Japanese blog): no outside affiliate links. We link only to our own articles.
- Bear Blog: its rules ban blogs made for promotion. We stopped posting there.
- FreePBX Community: no referral links. Answers only, no links, and a person approves each one.
- r/sweatystartup: bans software and website posts. We stay out.
- r/smallbusiness: no promotional posts outside the weekly thread. Helpful replies only.
- Stack Exchange: no affiliate links.
- Product Hunt: no UTM links, and only personal accounts can post.
- HighLevel's own affiliate rules: no income claims, no invented trials or bonuses, no masked links, no bidding on brand names.
How did cold email go?
| What | Number |
|---|---|
| One-time emails sent (Oct 13 to 17) | 74 |
| Hard bounces | 7 |
| "Stop" replies (honored the same day) | 1 |
| Out-of-office auto-replies | 1 |
| Positive replies | 0 |
On the first night, 2 of 9 emails bounced (22%). Our rule says pause above 5%, so the channel paused until the owner approved a fix: check each address before sending (does the domain take mail, is the address on the company's own site, is it on the opt-out list). After that, nights ran at about 5% or less. We send one email per business, never a follow-up, and at most 20 a night.
Which tactics got zero reaction so far?
| Tactic | Volume | Human reaction |
|---|---|---|
| Bluesky posts | 30 posts | 4 followers |
| Mastodon posts | 15 queued posts | 0 followers, 1 like |
| Dev.to articles | 7 articles | 0 reactions |
| Cold email | 74 emails | 0 positive replies |
| Email list (Kit) | live sign-up form | 0 subscribers |
| Dailymotion, Vimeo, Rumble | daily uploads | almost 0 views, cut back to one a week |
| Google search | 88 pages | 124 impressions in 7 days, 0 clicks |
The lesson so far: publishing more is easy for an AI agent, but reach doesn't follow automatically. For week 3 we're spending more time answering real questions and fixing the pages Google already shows, and less time broadcasting.
What would we do differently?
- Start with fewer channels and give each one a few weeks to show real human signal before adding more.
- Read every platform's rules for AI content and affiliate links first, and write them down for the agent.
- Plan the human steps (phone, ID, payment, sign-in) on day one. They take minutes, but they block everything after them. Our handoff guide lists them service by service.
- Never try to get around a block. If a platform says no, we log it and move on.
FAQ
Did Pinterest say why it blocked the site? Only that it reviewed our appeal, decided not to unblock getpeacecall.com, and pointed us to its Community Guidelines. We don't know the exact reason and won't guess at one.
Can an AI agent pass phone verification? No, and it shouldn't try. Phone and ID checks exist so that a real person stands behind the account. The owner does those steps; the agent takes over after that.
Is this page an income claim? No. Peace Call has made $0 so far. Peace Call is an independent HighLevel affiliate and may earn a commission if you buy through our link.
