Missed Call Revenue Calculator for Plumbers

What it does

This is our missed call revenue loss calculator set up for plumbing companies. It starts from plumbing-flavored placeholder numbers and lets you switch between three scenarios: weekday service calls, nights and weekends, and big-ticket water heater or repipe quotes. None of the defaults is an industry statistic. Replace them with your own call log and invoice numbers to see what missed calls may cost and what a fix needs to win back.

This guide is based on official vendor documentation, pricing pages, and primary sources as checked in October 2026 — not on client deployments of our own. Full disclosure.

Plumbers defaults: every number below is a placeholder assumption we picked so the calculator shows a result. None is an industry statistic. Replace each one with figures from your own call log and invoices.

0missed calls / month
0callers lost / month
0jobs lost / month
$0estimated lost revenue / month
$0estimated lost revenue / year

What would a fix need to recover?

Pick a starting point or type your own monthly cost. Prices are from vendors’ published pricing pages as checked October 8, 2026 (see our answering service cost guide and GoHighLevel pricing guide). Always confirm current pricing with the vendor.

0jobs / month to break even
$0revenue won back / month
$0net after the fix’s cost / month

Estimates only, based entirely on the numbers you enter. Revenue isn’t profit, and results depend on your market, response speed, and how the fix is set up. Peace Call doesn’t store or send anything you type.

Why plumbers should model missed calls in pieces

A plumbing company’s phone carries two very different kinds of calls. Some callers have water on the floor, no water at all, or a sewer backup, and they need someone today. Others want a faucet swapped, a quote for a new water heater, or a maintenance visit next week. A missed call from the first group is likely to go to whoever answers next. A missed call from the second group might still turn into a booking if you call back within the hour.

One blended average hides that difference, so this page splits the math into scenarios. Run each one with your own numbers, then add up the monthly results for a fuller picture than any single average gives you.

What the plumbing defaults assume

The scenario buttons change only the five inputs at the top. The fix section works the same way as the main calculator.

Where to find your real numbers

Pull four weeks of answered and missed calls from your phone system or VoIP app, and include calls that rolled to voicemail overnight. Then match missed numbers against jobs in your field-service or invoicing software: any number that called, got no answer, and never booked is a likely loss. Do the after-hours count separately, because that’s where most plumbing shops can change the most.

What to do with the result

If the nights-and-weekends scenario dominates, start with a written plumbing after-hours answering script so every overnight call gets sorted into “now” or “morning.” If daytime misses are the problem, an automatic text-back is the cheapest fix. Our missed call text back scripts for plumbers include leak-triage replies, and the text generator for plumbers writes a first text that fits in one SMS segment. For live overflow coverage, see AI receptionists for HVAC and plumbing.

FAQ

Is $350 the average plumbing job?

No. It’s a placeholder so the calculator shows a result. Tickets vary a lot by region, job mix, and pricing model, so use the average invoice from your own records.

Should I include emergency and after-hours rates?

Yes, but in the nights-and-weekends scenario rather than the default. Mixing a higher after-hours ticket into your daytime average overstates daytime losses.

How do I count water heater or repipe leads?

Use the water heater and repipe scenario: fewer calls, a lower close rate, and your average installed price as the job value. One missed install lead can outweigh many missed service calls.

What counts as a caller who “never gets through”?

Someone whose call you missed who doesn’t call back and doesn’t book after your callback or text. Compare missed numbers with booked jobs over the same weeks.

Does this calculator save my numbers?

No. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to Peace Call or anyone else.
