GoHighLevel vs. Housecall Pro (2026): Winning Calls vs. Running Jobs, and When to Use Both
Short answer
Housecall Pro is field service software: online booking, scheduling and dispatching, quotes, invoices and payments, and review management. Its pricing page lists Basic from $59 a month billed annually, with Essentials and Max above it, and a 14-day free trial of Max with no card required. HighLevel is a CRM, phone system and automation platform from $97 a month plus usage, with native missed call text back and optional Voice AI. They solve different problems: Housecall Pro runs the job, HighLevel chases the lead. If dispatch, quoting and invoicing are your bottleneck, start with Housecall Pro; if calls and follow-up are, start with HighLevel. Prices checked October 11, 2026.
US only: A2P 10DLC registration applies to US phone numbers and US carriers. Texting rules in the UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand and Canada are different (sender ID, number bundles, consent laws), so check your own country’s rules before relying on this.

"GoHighLevel or Housecall Pro?" looks like a head-to-head, but the two tools start at different ends of the business. Housecall Pro manages the work once a customer says yes. HighLevel (GoHighLevel) manages getting the customer to say yes: the phone system, missed call text back, CRM and follow-up.
This comparison uses each company's own pricing page and help docs as checked October 11, 2026. What is the difference between GoHighLevel and Housecall Pro?
Housecall Pro describes itself as software for home service businesses such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning and landscaping. HighLevel is a CRM and marketing platform with a built-in phone system, SMS and email, calendars, workflows, websites and AI agents (HighLevel pricing).

How much does each cost?
Housecall Pro: Basic is listed at $59 a month billed annually. Essentials includes 5 users and adds routes, flat-rate pricing, checklists, photo reports, GPS tracking, commissions and QuickBooks Online sync. Max includes 8 users and adds recurring service plans, route optimization, open API access, a dedicated onboarding specialist and escalated phone support. Its FAQ says there is no long-term contract. Payments carry processing fees.
HighLevel: Starter is $97 a month, with unlimited contacts and users, and usage is billed separately from a wallet: phone numbers, texts, calls, email and AI. For one business our pricing guide estimates roughly $122 to $133 a month on Starter, our own arithmetic from HighLevel's published rates.
So the headline difference is not just price: Housecall Pro charges more as you add crew features, HighLevel charges more as you add messaging, calls and AI.
Which one fixes missed calls better?
HighLevel is built around it. Turn on the phone setting and every unanswered call gets a text, or build the workflow version to control repeats. Everything lands in the contact record, and you can add a Voice AI agent for after hours. Note that HighLevel requires A2P 10DLC registration for texting US recipients from local numbers, so register first.
Housecall Pro lists a CSR AI feature that "answers every call and chat" on its pricing page. We haven't verified how it is priced, how it handles texting back, or its limits, so ask Housecall Pro before relying on it.
Which one runs the job better?
Housecall Pro. Dispatching technicians, quoting, invoicing, taking payment in the field and tracking job costs are its core. HighLevel has calendars, invoicing and payments tools, but it is not built around crews, routes and job costing. If that is your daily pain, read the setup order only after you've fixed dispatch.
Can you use both?
Many businesses do, because the jobs don't overlap much: HighLevel handles the lead and the first reply; the won job moves into field service software. HighLevel publishes an integration guide for Jobber (Jobber integration); we have not verified a Housecall Pro integration, which could mean manual entry or a tool like Zapier (Housecall Pro lists Zapier access on Max). See our comparison with Jobber for the same pattern. If you want invoicing plus done-for-you marketing from one vendor instead, see GoHighLevel vs. Thryv.
