GoHighLevel vs. Jobber for Home Service Businesses (2026): Missed Calls, Pricing, and When to Use Both

Short answer

GoHighLevel and Jobber solve different problems. Jobber is field service software for quotes, scheduling, invoicing, and payments, from $29 a month (Core, 1 user, billed annually) to $529 a month for 15 users on Plus. HighLevel is a CRM and marketing platform with its own phone system, from $97 a month plus usage. For missed calls, HighLevel has native missed call text back and optional Voice AI. Jobber's answer is its AI Receptionist, a $29-a-month add-on for 30 conversations (included on Plus), which can text back callers who hang up before it starts talking. Jobber's dedicated number is for texting, and two-way texting needs Grow or Plus. An official integration syncs clients both ways, so many businesses run Jobber for the work and HighLevel for leads. "GoHighLevel or Jobber?" sounds like a choice between two competitors. Mostly it isn't. Jobber runs the work you've already won: quotes, scheduling, invoices, and payments. HighLevel (GoHighLevel) helps you win and follow up on the next job: a CRM, phone system, texting, email, and automation, including missed call text back.

They overlap in one area that matters a lot to home service businesses: what happens when a customer calls and nobody answers. This guide compares the two on that question, on price, and on fit, using each company's own pricing pages and help docs as checked on October 8, 2026. Where something isn't published, we say so instead of guessing.

Peace Call is a HighLevel affiliate, so read our take with that in mind. We've tried to be straight about where Jobber is the better tool, and for many trades businesses it is.

What each tier adds, per Jobber's plan descriptions:

  • Core: online booking and scheduling, quotes, invoices with online payments, a website builder, reporting, and app integrations.
  • Connect: automated client reminders, automatic payments, job checklists, automated quote and invoice follow-ups, QuickBooks Online sync, and time and expense tracking.
  • Grow: richer quotes with optional line items, automatic time tracking, job costing, two-way SMS, and custom workflow automations.
  • Plus: crew scheduling, unlimited job photos and videos, custom reports, Sales Pipeline, Marketing Suite, AI Receptionist with unlimited usage, and dedicated onboarding and support.

Jobber also sells add-ons: AI Receptionist at $29/month, Sales Pipeline at $49/month, and Marketing Suite at $99/month.

How much does GoHighLevel cost?

HighLevel has three self-serve plans: Starter at $97/month ($970/year), Unlimited at $297/month, and Agency Pro at $497/month. All include unlimited contacts and users. Starter includes 3 sub-accounts, which is plenty for a single business.

The plan fee isn't the whole bill. Phone numbers, calls, texts, email, and AI are billed as usage. Key US rates: a local number is $1.15/month, a text segment is $0.00747 outbound or inbound plus carrier fees, and inbound calls answered in the app cost $0.01165 per minute (Phone System Pricing). Our GoHighLevel pricing guide works through a one-business example that lands at about $122 to $133 a month on Starter, before LLM tokens. HighLevel also requires A2P 10DLC registration before you text US customers from a local number.

Which handles missed calls better, GoHighLevel or Jobber?

For classic missed-call text back, HighLevel. It's a native feature of HighLevel's phone system: when an inbound call isn't answered, the caller gets an automatic text so the conversation can continue by SMS. HighLevel's docs say it also picks another eligible sending number if the number that was called can't send texts (HighLevel: Missed Call Text Back). You can add Voice AI on top, either answering every call or acting as a backup that only picks up when your team doesn't (HighLevel: Voice AI agents).

Jobber takes a different route: an AI receptionist. According to Jobber's help center:

  • Receptionist answers calls and texts 24/7, answers questions about your business, creates requests, books jobs through your online booking settings, and escalates calls to a team member on keywords such as "emergency."
  • It costs $29/month for 30 conversations, then $0.79 per extra conversation; calls tagged as spam or with no real conversation don't count. It's included with unlimited usage on Plus. You can set it to pause at the limit instead of paying overage.
  • Its "SMS send back" setting texts callers who hang up before the Receptionist starts a conversation (for example, during the greeting), at most once per caller per 24 hours.
  • It needs a Jobber dedicated phone number (US, Canada, and UK), which Jobber says is available on select plans and not during the trial. That number is meant for texting. Calls to it are forwarded to your company phone number unless Receptionist is answering, so many businesses forward their existing line to it.

In Jobber's help docs we didn't find a standalone "text every missed call" feature like HighLevel's that works without the Receptionist. If that's the one thing you want, HighLevel is the more direct tool. If you'd rather have an AI answer the call and book the job straight into your Jobber schedule, Jobber's Receptionist does that with less setup.

Can you use GoHighLevel and Jobber together?

Yes, and that's the most common answer for growing trades businesses. HighLevel has an official Jobber integration in its App Marketplace. It keeps client and contact details (names, emails, phones, addresses, tags, and lead source) in sync both ways, imports historical clients from a start date you choose, and includes a snapshot of prebuilt workflows and templates. Records are matched by Jobber client ID, and the app is installed by a HighLevel agency admin (HighLevel: How to Integrate Jobber).

A typical split looks like this: HighLevel answers the phone layer (text-back, Voice AI, follow-up texts and emails, review requests), and Jobber handles quotes, scheduling, invoices, and payments once the job is booked.

What would each setup cost per month?

Labeled examples for a one-person shop, built only from the published prices above. They're illustrations, not quotes. They exclude taxes, card fees, and LLM tokens, and assume annual billing for Jobber.

Setup How we calculated it Approx. monthly cost
Jobber Core only (no missed-call handling) $29 $29
Jobber Grow + AI Receptionist add-on, 30 conversations $149 + $29 $178
Jobber Grow + AI Receptionist, 60 conversations $149 + $29 + 30 × $0.79 ≈ $202
HighLevel Starter with text-back + after-hours Voice AI Our pricing-guide example ≈ $122–$133
Jobber Core + HighLevel Starter, together $29 + about $122–$133 ≈ $151–$162
Jobber Plus (5 users, Receptionist included) $399 $399

We used Grow for the Receptionist examples because it includes two-way texting. Jobber says Receptionist can be added to "select plans" and needs a dedicated phone number, which is also on select plans, so confirm with Jobber which plan your setup needs. Bigger crews push Jobber's price up by team size, while HighLevel charges the same plan fee no matter how many users you add.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose Jobber if your main headache is running the work: quotes, scheduling crews, invoicing, and getting paid. Add its Receptionist if you want an AI to answer calls and book straight into your Jobber schedule.
  • Choose HighLevel if your main headache is leads: missed calls, slow follow-up, reviews, and campaigns. It's also the natural pick for agencies managing many client businesses.
  • Use both if you're paying for leads and also running a few crews. The official integration keeps clients in sync, so you don't type them twice.
  • Use neither yet if you only miss a handful of calls a month. A simple after-hours answering script and a voicemail greeting that promises a fast callback may be enough for now.

Jobber is built around quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and payments for field crews. Many businesses use both, connected with HighLevel's official Jobber integration.

Does Jobber have missed call text back? Not as a standalone feature in the help docs we checked. Jobber's AI Receptionist ($29/month for 30 conversations, included on Plus) answers calls and texts, and its "SMS send back" setting texts callers who hang up before the Receptionist starts a conversation. HighLevel has native missed call text back on its phone system.

How much is Jobber per month? As of October 8, 2026, Jobber's Core plan is $29/month billed annually for one user ($49 with no commitment). Connect starts at $99, Grow at $149, and Plus at $399 billed annually, with prices rising by team size. Extra users are $29/month each.

How much is GoHighLevel per month? Starter is $97/month, Unlimited $297, and Agency Pro $497, with unlimited users and contacts. Phone numbers, calls, texts, email, and AI are billed as usage on top. For one service business, our example puts usage at roughly $25 to $36 a month.

Do GoHighLevel and Jobber integrate? Yes. HighLevel's Jobber app syncs client and contact data both ways, including names, emails, phones, addresses, tags, and lead source, with a one-time historical import and ongoing sync for new clients.
